The Education Centre overlooks the Water Wise Garden, adjacent to the "Catchment, Habitat and Water Trail. The interactive, informative program gives students a powerful insight into the vital importance of water in our everyday lives and environment.

 

Goldfields Mohair Farm

Students can follow the process of mohair from goat's back to finished garment. Range of animals in Nursery. Min. number of 15 in groups.

 

"Kyirong" Farm
624 Strathlea Rd, Strathlea, via Creswick

A sheep, cattle, crop and emu property on 315 acres (38 kms north of Creswick) where students can see and join in a range of farming activities, depending on the season.

 

Lexton Landcare Self-guided Tour
Lexton area, north west of Ballarat
Contact: Ann Fagan at LandLearn Ph. 5482 0453 OR Creswick Landcare Centre Ph. 5345 2200 for a copy of the map and guide notes.
The tour takes visitors to sites affected by salinity and enables students to see examples of the strategies used to manage and address the issue.
